Another season of farmer-to-farmer learning is here! Nearly 60 farms across Iowa, as well as Illinois, Minnesota, Missouri, Nebraska and Wisconsin, are opening their farm gates to share knowledge about small grains, orcharding, grazing, agritourism, weed control and more.
Wayne Braun farms near Durant, Iowa, raising corn, soybeans, sudangrass and a cow-calf herd. Most of the cover crops on his farm are used for grazing, silage or hay. The remaining acres are terminated and followed by soybeans planted with his no-till drill. Come join Wayne for a look into how he’s incorporating cover crops throughout his farm, and how his management practices have evolved over 20 years of cover cropping.
